Here, Prince Caspian - Have My $80

Tell me again why we don't wait for the video???

2 adults, 4 kids admission = $40
Popcorn & soda for said moviegoers: $40
$80????????

For $80 I should get Prince Caspian himself, in my living room, giving me a lap dance, which would be awesome totally inappropriate since he's only 25. I checked.

Not to mention the cost of gas to get to the theater. The pumps now won't even fill my SUV completely. They stop automatically at $75. Really - this is true.

Me (to Pump): Why'd you stop?
Pump: I gave you $75!!!!!
Me: But it's not full yet!
Pump: Why'd you buy such a ginormous car?
Me: "ginormous" is not a word.
Pump: Actually, Webster's added it in 2007, along with 'Bollywood' and 'sudoku'.
Me: Bite me.  I'm going to see "Prince Caspian" now.
Pump: Good luck affording the popcorn.

Now, see, when I put a paltry $25 in the van yesterday to run errands, it just laughed at me and sneered, "Come on, is that all you got?!"

*drool* Prince Caspian. Maybe my new computer desktop. I'm mad that you didn't put a bigger picture up.

I know the feeling..you gotta take a small loan just to go to the theater these days..We did when we went to see Bee Movie..I have a small obsession with Jerry Seinfeld. I thought anything with him in it would be freaking brilliant..
Boy was I wrong..and to top it off I spilled my $8 diet pepsi and the popcorn was stale and cold. Damn you movie theaters!!

You are cracking me up!!

If (and that's a big if) I take the kids to the movies, I stop and buy candy at Walgreens. 3 boxes for $3. One for each kid. Then they get to share a drink. I, of course, get my own drink!

We opted to wait for the video when our church rented out the theater for this one. I think I like that lap dance dream better any way.

Wow! That's one big SUV you have. The gas pump hasn't started talking to me yet, but my bathroom scale does.

I hate to side on the side of a pump, but "ginormous" is a word.

But otherwise, that pump was stupid. Most pumps seem to have attitude lately.

I know I'm going to be dragged to see this movie but if there's some eye candy it might not be that bad.

Hope you kicked that pump in the nuts!

I am totally with ya....when I pulled up to the pump the other day it said, "You can't afford me. Move on."
I was like, "What? I have money, see."
And it was all like, "Not enough, loser."
And then I had to wrestle that freaking pumper away from it's tank while screaming, "You will not win. You hear me gas. I will put my card in your slot and you will give me gas. Not just any old watered down gas, but the good kind. The kind that will last me longer than the three days that's normal. You got that gas or so help me I will turn your tank upside down and let your precious liquid spew all over the pavement!"

Sorry :( You seemed to have brought out a bit of a gas price moment here.

Holy crap your blog is hysterical. Don't waste your $80 on Caspian...definitely wait for the video. It irked me they strayed from the story line a bit, although I suppose they had to make a short book fit into 2 1/2 hours somehow.

Haha! I told the kids we were waiting to buy that one on DVD after shelling out $80 to see Iron Man a couple weeks ago.

Oh, and I had the same conversation with the gas pump yesterday, only it asked me "why did you buy a ginormous monster truck?" and I answered "to run over those annoying eco-tourists in their little eco-friendy mini cars, of course!". :p

OMG - we're supposed to go see the Prince today.

Hmph. But that lap dancin' visual might just do the trick. ;)

Stop by when you get a chance - I've got a surpise for ya.
