My First Day As President

Here's pretty much how my first day as President of the United States would go.

8:00am Swivel around in swivel chair.
8:15am Take a stroll on the East lawn with the First Dog. Photo op.
8:35am Place phone call.
White House Operator: Yes, Madam president?
       Me: This is The President.
       White House Operator: Yes, Ma'am..
Me: I just wanted to say that.

8:40am Get on Twitter.

HappyHourSue  OMG. I'm sitting at my desk.
McMommyBlog  What's in the drawers?
HappyHourSue  Pens. A stapler. Stationery.
TheMomJen  I need Starbucks.
Lisalicious What have you done so far?
HappyHourSue The Bloggess wanted me to check into that Area 51 thing. They totally have aliens there. Don't repeat that.
McMommyBlog Don't worry.
BackToBarnwell  No problem.
Conspiracygrrl51 Our lips are sealed.
TheMomJen Do you get an intern?
HappyHourSue hold on, sending a TwitPic....

TheMomJen Nice.
HappyHourSue This red phone keeps lighting up. How annoying is that. BRB.
BacktoBarnwell It's Commissioner Gordon.
McMommyBlog or the Joker.
HappyHourSue Sorry - Kim Jong-"ill" again. What'd I miss?
Lisalicious Jen is making stew tonight.
HappyHourSue uh-oh GTG, tweeps - Intern Meeting in 5 mins.
Lisalicious How many interns do you have?
HappyHourSue One. ;D

THIS is the reason I love you so much and I'm not even feeling left out of the twitter conversation because I'd be at MY work in the health room... I have a defibrilator and know how to use it JUST IN CASE Joe actually became your intern!!!

I'll give you a massage every day at 11:00. Then I'll teach the interns how to massage you.

I think that deserves about 150K a year.

Shannon said...

I would make sure that you are using a new swivel chair and wipe down the desk...throw out the carpet.

Happy Hour in the Rose Garden!

I'm visiting from SITS! Loved your post...very funny! Feel free to stop by anytime and say hello. I always love meeting new people.

BacktoBarnwell said...

Well, if you mean that I'm in the next door twittering, then yeah, because if you became Pres, you know I'd get the hell out of Barnwell and Charleston and White House it too. I want to be in charge of the scheduling from now on, though.

I see you forgot to include the Twitter bowling tournament at 10AM in the private bowling alley. And, the Twitter Pinata (Kim Jung's head, today) smashing contest around 1PM just to vent frustrations.

Oh, and how could you forget golf cart tag on the south lawn at 3PM!!??

KSK said...

Fabulous - I'm feelin it!

Did you ever see the palinaspresident website during the campaign? Here's the link if you missed it: http://www.palinaspresident.us/never/index.html

BTW will you have your intern wear something black from the Gap?

I just spent over an HOUR on your blog. I must say you are funny and I certainly needed some good humor tonight. My teens and hubby are driving me nutty today so thanks.
