Weekend LOL Drawing

Just got this emailed to me from my college roomate Deb.......

A  first grade girl handed in the drawing below for  a homework  assignment....

After  it was graded and the child brought it home, she  returned to school the next day with the  following  note:
Dear Ms.   Davis ,
I want to  be very clear on my child's illustration. It is  NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip  joint. I work at Home Depot and had commented to  my daughter how much money we made in the recent  snowstorm. This drawing is of me selling a  shovel.

Your blog cracks me up every day (on days you don't write, I reread my old favorites and laugh at them again). Glad to be able to "give back." :)

never seen it but it's so believable, if you are a teacher. honestly, kids say the darndest things! like, "sorry my, mom will be late for my brother's kindergarten graduation, she had to have an abortion." TRUE story!!!!!
kids, you gotta love them.

She let her gaze trail slowly up the smooth, bare skin of his legs. His face was devoid of its former markings, the skin smooth and black and unblemished. The bowl and spoon remained, but the girl and infant were nowhere to be seen. Lanthan slumped in the sand, one fist pounding dust as Arkir thrust into him again. Shaking, she stood still until she thought her vision might be back to normal. She swallowed and pulled away, her attention instantly switching to the grounds below. Gala grinned back at Eyrhaen. Eyrhaen glanced over her shoulder to meet Radins triumphant smile. She clung to him, wordless in the flood of emotion that took her. She had that under tight control. Youre not used to all this atonement. Brevin caught it easily, chuckling. I didnt say we werent mad. Brevin cupped her chin with one strong hand. She closed her eyes, wanting to savor every little move he made. It felt like he was pushing at the base of her heart. Except that she is not a goddess and could not have maintained such power. I never thought Id be allowed to raise children when I was with Aletone. She didnt know how to interpret his small smile. I want this time to just be us.

that is hilarious and I think completely believable. I'm almost done with school to become a teacher and these kinds of stories are going to be so much fun! :)

That's too funny! The things kids say...last week, one of my preschoolers proceeded to tell us about his mom's fight with his dad. I had to stop him mid-sentence and explain to him that he shouldn't tell other people his parents' problems.

He swallowed, eyes still closed, as she wrapped her hand around his slippery, wet shaft. He stood still, letting them look their fill as they slowly filed into the room. Unfortunately, that included using Eyrhaen as a lodestone, both for Herself and for Her people. They stayed on their knees, slapping each others arms aside as they struggled for purchase. The stone beneath her clutching fingers started to crumble.
