I thought I was obsessed with Twilight.
I thought I had a pretty bad crush going on Robert Pattinson.
I underestimated the devotional love of the 8 year old.
MY 8 year old.
This video is from last night, when my husband brought home a framed Twilight poster, autographed by all the cast.

That is HILARIOUS!
As my mother always said "At least she comes by it honestly!".
I have boys, so that level of hormones and girly devotion REALLY freak me out! ha!
The poor dog is like, for the love of DOG, what's wrong?
I distinctly remember having a similar reaction to my very own Madame Alexander doll. Times have changed, no?
AWESOME!! Seriously!
I LOVE the hyperventilating at the end! That is possibly one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
LOL wow! Like you said, I thought that **I** was in love with Twilight, but clearly I am no match for your daughter lol. That was adorable though. And hilarious of course.
Did you have to make her breathe into a paper bag? Good Lord, the poor kid was hyperventilating! Obviously, DAD ROCKS FOREVAH will be the slogan in your house for a very long time...
THAT is hilarious....and adorable.I think she's going to give you a run for your money, girl...she may even already be in the lead.
I love how you're consoling her... and the dog doesn't know what to do! That's hilarious!!!!
I love how calm your husband is through all that. Awesome.
Put that kid in drama class immediately!
i am not jealous, nope. however i am now following dooce's blog and plan to comment!!! take that!
ok that wasn't nice and i didn't mean it.
so effing happy for you!
That is AWESOME! So have you decided yet where it gets to hang?! The dog cracked me up...he just didn't get it.
Dad: "Crap how am I going to out do this?"
Youngest Daughter "Can't Breath"
Oldest Daughter "I am holding out for a Car"
Dog: "I didn't do anything..I just know I gonna get Blamed"
Sue: " Hubby, Thanks for the Blog Material...maybe you will get a little sumtin sumtin"
Stepson " Whatever!"
I gave my husband a Master's flag autographed by Tiger Woods a few years back and he had the EXACT same reaction.
(I kind of wish it hadn't happened at his job, though.)
XO
A.
LOL! That is SO funny. I wonder where she gets it from?
omg this video pretty much just made MY LIFE! lol!! EIGHT YEARS OLD! I love how the poor dog reacted bahahaha!!!the hyperventilating cracked me up!! she is a mess! I love it. So flippin cute.
Your husband sure knows how to buy a present yeah? :D
Too much! You have to get her to a Jonas Brothers concert!
By the way, I am going to see the New Kids on the Block in a week, and I may or may not cry like that.
Awww, the dog was concerned. That video made my life. :D I'm hoping you plan on hanging it in her room.
That's so funny! She kind of reminds me of Holly Hunter in Raising Arizona...."I lo-o-o-ve them so-o-o much!"
that is too funny. so I guess Daddy did really, really good! What a guy.
That's awesome. I love your older daughters commentary, she obviously came by her sense of humor honestly too, lol. That is too funny.
AND how much does your husband ROCK!!!
dude. i have all boys, that sorta freaked me out, too, but in a good way : )
and I cried when the Pens won the Stanley Cup Friday night, so I am not one to talk...
So did he win it at an auction?
So I bet he's thinking all the way home, "Man, I can't believe I just spent $250 on a stupid poster autographed by some boy that my wife keeps cardboard cut-outs of. I bet if I wore one of those cutouts of his face around the house, I could probably get lucky... I can't believe I spent $250 on a stupid poster. Should I cut the eyes out of the mask so I can see what I'm doing, or would that ruin it? Damn, $250 would've bought several rounds of golf!"
Then he brings the the poster home, everyone goes crazy, and he's thinking "Autographed poster of Rob somebody-what's-his-name... $250, Family's reaction and bonus thank-you sex.... priceless!"
As my husband says in a high pitched voice, "Twilight...it brings out the little girl in us all."
:)
I love the commentary and the fact that she felt it necessary to focus on the only calm one....the dog.
Boy - Dad sure was the hero though!!
That is hilarious. That is one to bring out at family gatherings when she's a teen.
oh the poor thing!!! i feel for her, i reacted this way when my mom and dad got me new kids on the block tickets a million years ago. i was 10 and hyperventilating.
very sweet gift by the way :)
good stuff...
Sorry but that is hilarious! My 9 year old wants to read the series but I am not comfortable with the sexual scences in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.
That was absolutely priceless!! :)
Oh wow! Just wait until she goes to concerts. She will totally be crashing the stage :-)
OMG she is so cute! And so obsessed!
Fabulous footage...that is what happens to me when I get a dozen fresh Krispy Kremes!
And, having read this post AFTER your most recent, I can rest assured that you are indeed a hot blonde, and I will NOT be rooming with "CHAZ" at BlogHer! WHEW!
i was waiting for you to breakdown. lol
