At Least I'm Not Gonna Tell You About My Dream

You know when you're telling someone about the weird dream you had last night and they go, "Then what happened?"

No?

That's because no one CARES.

I know...... it seems super-fascinating and entertaining..... But to the rest of the planet? Not so much.

And kids are the worst.

"Mom!I forgot to tell you! I had a really weird DREAM last night!..
(oh dear god in heaven no.)

"You? and me? and Daddy? and the lunch lady? Were all on this boat? Except it wasn't really a boat - it was your car? And we were going to Jamaica? But I hadn't done my reading packet? And so Nick Jonas was gonna help me? But then he got a bloody nose so he had to go to the nurse? And then you were like, "I TOLD you that would happen!" and you got all mad at me? And you made us all eat soup? Except there were like sharks in the soup? So I didn't want to? So I told Daddy but it wasn't really Daddy it was the Wizards of Waverly Place dad? And then it turned into a waterpark? And Dumbledore was there? And he was the guy who's at the top of the waterslide? Except he kept putting fish down the slide? So I had to try to not squish them? Cuz if you did? You'd get an F?.....

...Mom? Are you listening?"

Makes my dream about Taylor Lautner and Paypal seem pretty boring.

Yeah...I am still trying to sort out my dream from last night. It involved people from Dog the Bounty Hunter. Why I watch that show I don't know. I have a brain.

My husband just shakes his head when I tell him my dreams. I know he is thinking..."she is such a kook."

That cracks me up because I JUST had a dream about a horse-sized dog named Dumbledore running around my back yard ... and I've never even seen the Harry Potter movies (or read the books!).

"And there were sharks in the soup???" "And Dumbledore was there???" Love the punctuation. I could actually hear her voice !!! I mean, ???

"And then? There was this one time at band camp?" I could totally hear my daughter talking in that breathless, questioning, little kid voice that makes me feel like I'm going to hyperventilate. My last dream involved my husband trying to kill me...no lie...I thought twice before rolling over to snuggle.

I hate when I have a dream that is awesome and then say it out loud and it completely kills it. At least I knwo other's feel the same way.

Hahaha love it. I can totally hear her telling you. Once I dreamed I was dating The Situation. You know, the one from the Jersey Shore. Doesn't get much weirder than that.

I hate it when I have a really good dream and then I wake up and realize that is not my life. Yeah, sometimes I cry.

Funny post. At least she's creative!

I don't know how people and kids remember dreams in such details. I only remember generalizations, (I dreamed about having too many customers and not being able to keep up when I was a waitress.) And I wouldn't think of sharing my dreams with others. Oh, wait...I just did. Sorry...

I am thoroughly impressed with your ability to put "up-speak" in print! My girlies are starting to get into that speaking habit where every statement sounds like a question, and it makes me NUTS!!! Now I will probably have a dream about it. Taylor and PayPal? Hmmmm...wonder what THAT charge was for!!! Love ya!
