Just some things I had to show you

First up: Does anyone else's TJ Maxx have these signs posted in the dressing room?????

For real!
That mofo talked me into 2 pairs of workout pants and some strappy sandals.

As a former graphic designer, I have to take issue with the 2010 Olympics logo.

I'm sorry. It just looks like "Healthy Beginnings Fat Camp" to me.

In Totally Awesome News About the Future...... NASA unveiled their animated plans for "The Puffin" Personal Aircraft.

What!!!! Someone get me a countdown widget STAT.

Many thanks to the person responsible for this Twilight "Half Man/Half Pillow":
You make my obsession seem quite tame.

And note to self: You may be bitching a little too much when you see your 9 year old has written this on the calendar:

(Mom's Appreciation Day, accompanied by balloons and a present.)

don't tell her she misspelled appreciation. she might revoke your special day.

that would blow big ones.

I see that "Mom's Appreciation Day" does not coincide w/Mother's Day. Kudos to you for getting another day!

Now, if I could just find out where "Daughter's Appreciation Day" or "Wife's Appreciation Day" is on the calendar, I won't need to have kids to get my own day! Yay!

You're kidding me, they have those signs in fitting rooms???

And you're so right about the logo. I've always wondered, also, what in inukshuk has to do with Vancouver.

The sign at TJMaxx makes me want to "get it" in a dressing room. Yea - that's where my brain takes it. It's like their going to cheer you on or something!!

I'm totally making a Neil pillow out of socks. Almost as awesome as the japanese 'lap' pillows... which look like lady laps for businessmen. So soothing and they never get their periods... or maybe they do. I didn't research that far. Maybe they have little refills that you have to put in them once a month. I wonder how much THOSE cost. Those lap pillows are such gold digging bitches.

I just want to know one thing - was the present for Mom's Appreciation Day the Edward Manllow? (Hey, I didn't come up with the name, the pillow's inventor did!)
