Typical Sunday Morning

So apparently when my husband went to take the dogs out this morning, there was an issue.

He walked down the staircase, calling the dogs after him when suddenly

TUMBLE-TUMBLE-TUMBLE-TUMBLE-TUMBLE-TUMBLE-TUMBLE-TUMBLE-TUMBLE-THUD.

The 90 lb. puppy lands at the bottom looking panicked up at the landing at something that obviously freaked him so badly that he had a Class A- spazz-out.

My husband looks up and sees THIS:

Unbeknownst to anyone, my 8-year-old tied Happy Birthday balloons to the Guard Poodle's collar last night and she had to sleep that way.

I don't play that - for realz.

Oh the poor puppy. Our dog hated balloons and would bark at them if we had them around. Beautiful puppies though :)

Oh, a dogs life is so pathetic sometimes. My kids spent an hour "walking" ours around the house this morning. Poor, poor dog.

If someone tied those balloons to me, I'd just float away! What?

OMG balloons are so scary especially balloon animals or in your case balloons on animals! HA!

That sounds like a long traumatic night for the pup.

That's too funny, although I feel sorry for the poor poodle. They're so sensitive, you know...

Our poodle LOVES balloons, but I'm not sure he'd love it if they were tied to him.

Start saving for the dog therapist, although I have to say, that's pretty cute.

Is that a Giant Schnauzer? I have a 120 pound monster that's supposed to be a Bouvier. He looks a lot like your tough guy.

Poor doggie!

I am tempted to try this out on our four pound "Yorkshire Terrorist", Harley...he would probably float away, which would please my husband to no end!

Hope Diesel is OK...BTW, such a shiny coat! Do you wash the dog with "PANT-ene?" I am crackin' myself up again.

Hey, I live near Southfork and it isn't really all that big...it's actually a double-wide trailer with a big porch on the front. Weird, huh?

Your dogs are the cutest, but it's even cuter that your kiddo tied balloons to one of them.

Ok, Nice Staircase, Cute Beasts ,I mean pups.

Who's birthday and did the pups get cake??!!

Can not believe there was no balloon pop and subsequent howling and/or carpet clean up on isle 5

Poor dog, that must have been frightening.

Although funny afterwards when it was obvious no harm was done.

Poor puppy! I freak out over balloons too! They are so banned from every party we have! Bless puppy's heart!

Thank you! I was hoping someone else had a child who lived to torture the dog!

Now, I am not alone :)

Poor dog! But how funny...wouldn't you like to know what thoughts were running through the dog's brain all night?!
