While I was watching it, I was a little nervous that Christian was charging them to bite their face off. What a relief that wasn't the case!
I saw this the other day....it was great! Hubby had me look it up on snoops because he didn't believe it was true. It totally is!

When I first saw this I was like, "is this for real?" then I totally thought he was going to eat them. If you want to know more of the history, go to you tube, put in lion and in the side bar there are like 5 or 6 different 10 minute videos about getting him to africa, letting him go, etc...

The bear story is true...they made a movie about it called Grizzly Man. From IMDB:
"For thirteen consecutive summers, the American Timothy Treadwell moved to Katmai in the Alaskan Peninsula to live among the grizzly bears, with the pretext of studying and protecting them. In 2003, his girlfriend Amie Huguenard and he were surprisingly attacked and eaten by a bear."
Which just goes to show ya, Mother Nature is a twisted ol' gal.

that is sweet! I've watched a documentary on Grizzly Man and he was fascinated by the bears, but he didn't raise them- I'll say it again- nurture vs nature.

I know this comment is on a really old post, but I just found your blog and am reading the archives. That video was just so sweet. I remember watching a documentary about this and I was shocked to see that Christian still remembered them. Makes me tear up every time!
