Oh snap.
I'm flipping through the latest Rolling Stone and come across THIS:
Oh no they di'nt.
You can imagine my outrage, as mojitos are my beverage of choice for the months of March-September.
BG's too:
Really, Jim Beam? These are your bourbon-swiggin' bad asses? Turtleneck-boy and Froofy-scarf with the Donald Trump comb-over?
Jonas Brothers scarf-wearin' - Hair Club for Men-joinin'- puffy face water-retainin' fancyboys?
Also? I learned that the Lewis and Clark expedition (and I quote:) "was only the second 'official' transcontinental crossing of North America north of Mexico by a person not of the indigenous peoples of the Americas, having been preceded to the Pacific coast (on July 20, 1793) by a Canadian expedition led by explorer Sir Alexander Mackenzie."
In other words, the Indians had already done it, as well as a Cannuck named Mackenzie. Who was toting Molsons, no doubt.
Don't disrespect the mojito before you do your homework, Jim Beam: that's a lotta smack talkin' for a liquor that's the main ingredient in Mint Juleps.

Umm...I like beer..that cool?
:)
In fact, I've had several (several = 8 at this point). Sure my typing is slower, but I was first and most likely second. Jim Beam = pass. Mojitos = pass. But, to each their own.
Hilarious chickie. I'm not known to be a big drinker but I like me a good mojito! Way to do your research - it makes your outrage very well-rounded. I like that. Well-rounded outrage.
I really think BG needs to lay off the mojitos already; it's January. Homie needs to sober up and put on a hoodie. :)
How dare they disrespect the mojito!!
Tooo funny! Yeah....so there you sissy mint julep makin' smack talkers! I am going to have to try a mojito one of these days, cause I've seriously been one to drink all those other foo-foo drinks like Pina Coladas and Tequila Sunrise! I take it a Mojito is NOT a foo-foo drink! Um, right? LOL! Lisa
You. Me. Mojitos.
One day.
Whatever. Lois and Clark is more like it.
History according to Sue. I love it!
Their Indian guide(s) probably did all the work anyway!
Hilarious....great way to start the day! Thanks!! :)
Lewis & Clark may not have drank mojitos but I bet Sacagewea did.
-R
Which is, BTW, exactly the same as a mojito but it uses bourbon instead of rum. I should know, I live in the South and I'm married to a Cuban and inbibe both (depends what we have more of at the time-rum or bourbon).
Love me some mojitos!
Mmmmm.....Mojitos.... Now I have to try and focus all day on work? So not fair. Try the Asian Pear Mojito at PF Changs next time you are there. Yummy!
How can you make me want a mojito at 7:45 in the morning? That post was great!! hahahahah!
you go girl and defend your right to drink mojitos!
Is it bad that this post makes me want to drink?
at 10:11 AM?
Seriously...who drinks JB? Really?
I bet the NATIVES drank Mojitos on theie expedition! hahaha, I will tell you who drink Jim Beam, a bunch of people where I live (Florida) some toothless, most with facial hair, and 2/3 wear trucker caps...just sayin...
I think Jim is showing his insecurities by going on the attack like that! Calm down, JB!
"DON'T DRINK AND PADDLE", I always say! (open to interpretation, I am sure, but meant as a canoe reference!)
And is it my imagination, or does the guy on the right (Lewis or Clark?) look a bit like the actor James Spader?
That's ok, it's raining here so much I'm off to buy a canoe and I'll be drinking a mojito whole paddling.... how's that????
I hav never had a Mojito...dont hate me please...but i would like too does that count?
YOU ARE SO FUNNY! And I've never had a mojito before... But now I want to try one! :-) Great post!
Ok,so I seriously tried really hard to concentrate on what you were writing....
